System description

  • Pegis stores and handles most of the datatypes resulting from a drilled well:

  • The Pegis software is essentially an analysis and interpretation tool with interrelated modules and graphs for interpretational purposes on top of a well-organized database system.

  • The current Pegis has an easy-to-use GIS interface and integrates cultural (well head) data, stratigraphic (litho-, chrono- and sequence stratigraphy) data with all types of petroleum geochemical results, Por&Perm, Water Chemistry, RFT, DST, Leak-off, casing/mud programs, drilling parameters, mud gas etc.

  • Pegis contains systems for processing, interrelating and interpretations of the data.  E.g. system for organo facies reconstruction and mapping,  a pressure evaluation system for hydrocarbon column height and cap rock strength evaluations intended for prospect evaluation.  This system also calculates and stores excess pressure, in–place densities and fluid contacts. Various datatypes can be interrelated to each other. E.g. mud type can be connected to the geochemical tables (contamination from oil based mud) and the C15+ saturation can be calculated and plotted versus porosity to assess filling and/or reservoir depletion and pressure is connected to porosity and permeability.

  • All data are converted to TVD depths when Well Paths are available. Depths can also be converted to TWT via check shots.
